Honolulu
Mention Honolulu and the first thing that comes to mind is a long vacation spent under the sun and in the beaches. However, that is not the only thing you can do in this city in Hawaii. The place has other notable attractions too that every visitor must care to see and do for a complete Honolulu experience.
Places to See
Pearl Harbor – This base has a crucial place in the history of the US and of the world. Stories about the second World War will not be complete without a mention of this naval base, so see it for yourself when you are in Honolulu. The Arizona Memorial is the center of tourism here and there are guided tours that you can join.
Iolani Palace – This palace was the residence of Hawaii’s monarchy in the 19th century. It then became the state capitol when the Americans settled in 1893 and was turned into a museum in the 1970s. Not only is this structure rich in history but it also boasts of grand architecture and design.
Waikiki Beach – You cannot be in Honolulu and not dip your feet in the waters of this crescent-shaped beach. Take a swim, get into some water sports, work on some tan, and enjoy the stores and restaurants that line the shore of Waikiki for a day of outdoor fun.
Things to Do
Water Sports – You can go surfing, standup paddleboarding, snorkeling, parasailing, and jet skiing in any of the beaches and many water parks in Honolulu. Although Waikiki is the hub for most of these activities, you can also try going to Ala Moana or Kaka’ako because these sites are just as good.
Hiking – This is the best way to see the outdoor panoramic sceneries of Honolulu. You can walk to the top of some of the many volcanoes found there or hike through the lush greens to Manoa falls. Either way, you will be rewarded with the chance to see some amazing landscapes while giving your body a good exercise.
Go-Kart – Once you get tired of all the water activities, you can drop by The Groove and test how fast you can drive on a Go-Kart. Other activities are offered in this place too, like rock climbing and Bungee jumping.
