The Grand Hotel in Michigan was opened in 1887 and ever since then it received too many guests to count them all. Biking
Riding a bike in the city is not the same as biking out in the nature. Mackinac Island where the hotel is located, has more than 70 miles of paved trails to make all bikers happy. The trails has many landmarks, such as the Silver Birches and Brown’s Brook. The bikes can be rented for an hourly fee.

Go on a carriage tour
Carriage tours can be offered to groups or individuals. The difference is in the possibility of having a custom tour when booking it individually. The group tour has a certain route and stops at specific points of interest. If you prefer, you can choose a horse tour instead of the carriage tour.

Come with the children
Children younger than the age of 11 can stay for free. All children can choose from a variety of activities specially created for them as to have as much fun as possible. For instance they can play Quidditch, go on scavenger hunts, collect rocks on the beach as an organized activity, or visit the butterfly house.

Enjoy the gardens
Taking a walk in the gardens full of flowers can sometimes take you back in time. You can explore the garden with century old trees on your own. Additionally you can arrange for a guided tour if you want to learn more about all the plants there.
